Recently CTS has been made aware of a new training opportunity available for you coming up on Saturday, July 29th, 2017. This training will be held at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. The goal of this four-hour workshop is to train interpreters on the prevalence and impact that compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma have on persons in helping professions. The first portion of the training will help participants understand what compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma are; their causes, symptoms, and consequences; and activities to identify levels of compassion fatigue. The second portion of the workshop aims to help participants create self-care strategies to reduce vicarious trauma and burnout.
Should this be something that interests you, please see the document below for additional information on this event and instructions on how to register.
Will this Training apply to my Continue Education Credits?
Four continuing education credits are being requested for this workshop from the ATA, from CCHI, from the Washington State DSHS and from the Administrator of the Courts. Certificates of Attendance will be awarded to all who arrive on time and stay for the entire workshop.
