Recently CTS has been made aware of a new training opportunity available for you coming up on Saturday, October 28th, 2017. This training will be held at Skagit Valley Hospital in the Conference room. This all-day interactive workshop is designed to prepare experienced interpreters who have already received basic training to provide quality interpreting services in behavioral health settings. It will cover the following topics:
Introduction to Behavioral Health in the U.S.
- Definition of “mental health
- Types of appointments
- Venues (medical facilities, courts, jails, detention centers, etc.)
- Differences from other healthcare encounters

Will this Training apply to my Continue Education Credits?
Seven continuing education credits have been requested from CCHI, ATA, the Washington State DSHS, and the Washington State AOC. ATA credits are accepted by IMIA/NBCMI. Certificates of Attendance will be awarded to all who arrive on time and stay for the entire workshop.
